An authentic Green Beni Ourain, hand-knotted to order
This Green Beni Ourain rug is woven entirely by hand by Berber women of the Middle Atlas Mountains, following a tradition passed down through generations. Each rug begins as raw wool sheared from Atlas highland sheep, hand-washed in mountain streams, carded, and spun before a single knot is tied. The olive and cream colour palette comes naturally — no synthetic dyes, just the soft greens and creams of Atlas wool.
The design stays true to the original Beni Ourain language: a warm cream field crossed by a soft olive diamond lattice. In Berber culture, these diamonds are protective symbols — woven by the artisan as a quiet blessing for the home that receives the rug.

Made to order — what to expect
Because every House of Berber rug is hand-knotted to order, we do not hold inventory. Once you order, our artisans begin weaving your rug. Production takes 2 to 4 weeks, after which your rug spends 10 to 15 days in transit to your door. As each piece is made by hand, slight variations in size, knot density, and tone are natural and are the signature of a genuine handmade rug.
Care
