The checkerboard is one of the oldest patterns in Berber weaving and one of the most modern-looking. Woven in thick, hand-spun Atlas wool, the squares never look printed: edges soften, rows drift slightly, and natural wool tones give each rug its own character.
Choose large checks for a bold statement in a living room, a small check for a calm, textured floor, or a tonal beige or grey version if you want pattern without contrast. Every rug is woven after you order it: 2–4 weeks on the loom, then 10–15 days to your door. Shipping is free over $350, and standard sizes can be returned within 21 days.
